Hannemanns Gorge is located on Argadells Station, north of Quorn in South Australia. It is not essential to have a 4WD to access this cache, but it is recommended and such a vehicle is required for further driving on the property where other caches are hidden.
The Hannemanns were the original European owners of this land. The gorge is named after the family and still retains the ashes of a deceased member of the family.
There is a monument that explains the gorge and the significance of the area.
This and a series of similar caches hidden around the property are an excellent excuse to 4WD tour the Argadells station.
Camping is allowed and facilties include pitdrop toilets and firewood for campfires.
