Well, this was my first impression ~~ maybe you won't think it
looks like a waterfall......
Majorie
Davis is a small park nestled in the north end of Elmhurst.
This year (2009) Majorie Davis Park is undergoing redevlopment. The
park is almost finished and it is looking very nice!
Who is Majorie Davis? Like several of the parks and landmarks
around town they are named after people who made a lasting imprint
on the community. Majorie Davis was a teacher who taught at
Roosevelt School; a school that once occupied this site. I never
knew Majorie Davis but I have been a teacher and I know the
inspiration which teachers can instill in the students that cross
our paths ~ I imagine she was one of those teachers remembered long
after children went through her classroom.
