The pie has become an Australian institution for the hungry
geocacher and muggles a like, and can be found in nearly all parts
of the world, ranging in styles, flavours, and size.
Some of my favourite pies over the years have included a
Vindaloo Beef on a recent road trip, as well as the bakery
standards of Neenish, Apple, Peach, Blueberry, Vanilla Cream and
Rhubarb (served with custard). Occasionally there maybe a
seasonable fruit on offer such as Black Forest Berries.
If you are feeing a little peckish early in the morning there is
the truckie favourite of Bacon and Egg pie, best consumed at the
first light of day! If this is not to your liking, later in the day
they do offer Pineapple or Date and Pecan (served warm)
The upmarket coffee shops at times offer interesting choices
such as Quince, Orange Blossom, Lingonberry and Raspberry.
