Small jar located off of Nature Trail in Bedminster.

This cache is one of many in the “Along the Raritan” series. These caches will offer great views, fishing, and hiking along a great local river. There should be minor bushwhacking if any to access the caches. Please rehide all caches as found.

To access this cache find the small stream along the paved trail, and head down along side it, or follow the Blue trail, which follows the river.

Please rehide as found with camo.

Visit the final, although you do not have to complete these caches to do it -GC202HZ

GOOD LUCK!

"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?"

I know. I can see it now, the CO in planning this cache must have had these thoughts... "I think I will place a cache near a beautiful hike along a nice river. Most of the year people will love this cache but come winter we can have some real fun. Come winter, some not so bright cacher will be marching through the snow and see this nice little frozen stream and think 'that ice looks to thin to walk over, I better walk over the stream using that nice snow and ice covered log spanning the creek'. Then when that poor soul is halfway across, the melting snow and ice will shove his boot off the tree and he will get to make a marvelous splash in the icy creek."

I just want you to know that those evil thoughts you have came to fruition today.

Luck for me the cache is just about 5 feet from the splash zone. So with numb fingers I did sign the log.

#769 Found these in order today. This one felt like it would have been swampy if the ground was not frozen. Peaceful, quiet spot. TFTC

Today PTBilly and I decided to try this series along the raritan but it may not have been the best choice being all the
rain we've had lately. Most of the way we had to figure the best way around the water that was deep in spots. We
made it to the 2nd cache after a quick search we found the cache. SL. TFTC!

Out with Charlie today caching the last Sunday of the year to get our numbers up before the year end. We parked in the river road park and crossed over the roadway and made our way to the river. With all the rain we had yesterday we knew it was going to be wet in places but we found the path underwater in spots. We found #1 and tried to deside if we should head back to the trail or bushwack our way to #2. With all the rain we had yesterday we opted for back to the trail. Still the way was wet but we were having fun. Got to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. We remember there being another cache real close by with another series that we did some time ago.

Onward to #3.
