This is located on the trails of the beautiful Anmon Falls. The terrain is easily passable though it may be difficult for small children. This path is easily maneuverable by adults and older children.
This is a new cache located near Anmon Falls. This cache is a magnetic nano located on a small Shinto shrine on an elevated trail between a couple of the larger falls. It has been placed in such a fashion that it is in no way disrespectful to this religious site and I ask that all visitors properly respect the area. Your GPS may have issues once you enter the canyon as you are following the trails. Most of the trip we averaged accuracy that fluctuated greatly between +/-25' to +/-100'. If you have the opportunity to contact the Anmon Falls campground and reserve a cabin I highly recommend it. The cabins are beautiful (though traditional Japanese for the foreigners who visit), the area is beautiful and the falls are amazing. While you are here you could also visit the cache "Look for the Monkeys". If you are not staying at the campground I recommend parking at: N 40 31.313 E 140 10.585 There is additional parking over the bridge and around the corner at the Anmon Falls camping area. Be sure to bring a good camera. This area offers some of the most breath taking photos in Northern Japan. You can easily hike all the way to the last waterfall and back in under 3.5 hours and well under 3 just to the cache and back.

Great hike. If you stop for the shrine, be sure to go the rest of the way down the path, or rather up vertically, to the falls. I'm posting as First to Find! Not hard to find the location. In fact, I was on the trail when CATMcommando met me and told me he had placed a cache and gave the coordinates for it. Easily found it.
