被服廠が赤羽へ移転した後、更地となっていました。

関東大震災の死者の多くは、火炎流による焼死者でした、
たった一箇所で死者３万８千人とも、４万４千人とも言われる焼死者を出したのが此処「本所区被服所跡」です。２万４３０坪の敷地の中で火炎流にのみこまれて死亡したのです。

火災の凄さを物語る展示物の何れかに隠されてます。
