MiGO (Japan): Misawa Geocachers Organization

Our next Meet & Greet is at 1700 sharp at Mike's, a small Tex/Mex restaurant right outside the Misawa Air Base main gate. This will be Jackalgirl's last event (the family is moving to Yokosuka), so come say good-bye to her and hello to the rest of the group!

Please make sure that you don't park along the side of the road to the right of Mike's restaurant. To the left is fair game but the parking's pretty limited, so carpooling is a good idea. Reservations are for eight persons; this can be changed, so please make sure that you log this event as "will attend" (with number in party) if you intend to come so that the restaurant can be notified. Thanks, and see you there!

Another small yet successful event. We said goodbye to Kat and received the information needed to keep MiGo rolling along. We wish Kat and Pat the best of luck in their new adventure.

Wow! Can I say "wow" enough? The meeting was pretty light -- it was just me and the CATMCommandos -- but we were all absolutely floored when one of the waitstaff approached the table and asked if one of us was "Jackalgirl". It seems that Tuck and Green Black-catted a farewell present to me: a beautiful ceramic box containing an Official Japan Geocoin! And even better, the accompanying card featured a photo from the 09-09-09 event, with the whole group of people (minus, sadly, Tuck, who was behind the camera) gathered around the fabulous flags that Tuck & Green had made for the event. I tell you, I completely teared up. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Not just to Tuck & Green for this incredibly thoughtful present, but to everyone who's made geocaching so much fun here in Misawa. I am going to miss all of you so much -- please let me know if you come down near Yokosuka -- let's go caching!

We'll be there. I still haven't heard back from Abject.

I'll definitely be there! I've cut down the reservation to 6 (me, my daughter, my husband, Slaglerock and Mrs. Slaglerock, and perhaps Abject if he's not working), but my husband will not be attending, so that opens this up for one more person. See you tomorrow!
