Geocache Description:

Welcome to my caches on the mount. Mount Korong, for those who have never been there, is a large rocky outcrop just off the Calder Highway south of Wedderburn. It is a Nature Conservation Reserve. It is easily accessible by conventional car provided you take it easy on the bumpy bits. Dry weather, no probs. But if it’s wet or raining, I would probably leave it for another day. 4 x 4’s will be fine.
The cache won’t be hard to find, but I think it’s the views that you will find to be the real treasure. You can nearly drive up to this one. Nice place for a bit of a wander around too. Access is from the back of the mount. Drive in off the Wedderburn-Serpentine Rd (there’s only the one track in) and drive around to the right and then anti-clockwise is the best. There is a main track that goes all the way around the mount. The cache is off a track to the left and a short drive up to GZ. Keep an eye out for Joe Blakes (snakes) during the warmer weather.
Enjoy. Cheers, Cazza.
