The grounds at Holy Hill are open daily from 5:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Please do not hunt this cache after 5:00 PM.
One of southeastern Wisconsin's most popular attractions is the Shrine at Holy Hill located in Washington County's Town of Erin. Visitor's come from around the country to view the historic Monastery and the rolling wooded countryside. The mostly rural surroundings offer a scenic tour any time of the year, but the fall season is the most spectacular.
This cache will give you a tour of the grounds and the opportunity to hike on a great segment of the Ice Age Trail as it cuts through the hills around the Shrine.
Take the road you came in on from the parking coordinates until you reach an asphalt path. The path will take you the above waypoint where you will find the Friar's Cemetery. Near the cemetery you will find the beginning of a series of grottos (stations). Continue to follow the path and view the grottos (stations) counting the total number of figures in grottos (stations) #1-7. There is one grotto on a path to the right, do not use this grotto in your count. Add this number to the seconds for both the north and west coordinates below for the final location.
