Helppo peruskätkö Uotilan hiidenkirnun välittömässä läheisyydessä.
Uotilan hiidenkirnu sijaitsee Koillisväylän teollisuusalueella, noin 5 kilometrin etäisyydellä Rauman keskustasta. Hiidenkirnun halkaisija on 1,3 metriä ja hiidenkirnun syvyys on 60 senttimetriä. Uotilan hiidenkirnusta tuli luonnonmuistomerkki 11.1.2005.
Hiidenkirnu sijaitsee pienellä kalliokumpareella teollisuusrakennusten välisellä alueella. Kelkkatie kulkee parinkymmenen metrin etäisyydellä kirnusta.
Hiidenkirnut ovat syntyneet jäätikön sulamisvesien vaikutuksesta. Vesi on syöksynyt pyörteisenä kallioperään saakka, jossa vesi on mukana kulkeutuneiden kivien avulla kuluttanut kallioon kuoppia, hiidenkirnuja.
Lumi saattaa haitata kätkön löytymistä.
Easy traditional cache very near the giants kettle in Uotila.
The giants kettle is located in Koillisväylä's industrial area, around 5 kilometres from the centre of Rauma. The diameter of the kettle is 1,3 metres and the depth of the kettle is 60 centimetres. The giant kettle of Uotila became natural monument in 11.1.2005.
The giants kettle is located in a small knoll between two indrustrial buildings. Kelkkatie goes within 20 metres from the kettle.
Giants kettles are holes which appear to have been drilled in the surrounding rocks by eddying currents of water-bearing stones, gravel and other detrital matter.
Snow makes it more difficult to find the cache.
