ENG: Quite an easy traditional cache on the north-eastern corner of the city of Oulu, on the forested area.
FI: Parsiaismaan laavu sijaitsee Oulun kaupungin koilliskulmalla ja on osa Timosenkosken luontokoulun polkureitistöä. Koulujen lukukausien aikana on arkipäivisin mahdollista että paikalla on koululaisryhmiä, muutoin paikalla lienee enimmäkseen melko rauhallista. Etelästä päin paikkaa lähestyttäessä on ”Metsäpolku” luontevin reitti, joka tapauksessa Kalimenojan ylitse kannattaa kulkea uudehkon sillan kautta, kts. koordinaatit.
Lähin virallinen parkkipaikka on Huutilammen pohjoispuolella, kts. koordinaatit.
Maasto on helpohkoa ja toinen tähti maastoluokitukseen tulee lähinnä kausiluonteisesta kosteudesta / liukkaudesta, vedenpitävät kengät ovat suositeltava varuste.
Jos et satunnaisesti kuulisi täälläkin etäistä liikenteen melua, voisit melkeinpä kuvitella olevasi oikeasti metsässä… - mutta kuitenkin tämä kätkö sijaitsee Oulun kaupungin maaperällä:)
Kätkön läheisyydessä Oulun kaupunki tarjoaa tulentekomahdollisuuden.
Kätkörasiaan mahtuu pari-kolme pienehköä kulkijaa.
ENG: Shelter of Parsiaismaa is located on the north-eastern corner in the city of Oulu, and it is part of the routes surrounding nature school of Timosenkoski; so between august – may, on working days it is possible that this place is populated by the schoolkids, otherwise this place should not be heavily populated.
If you approach this place from south, the trail labeled as “Metsäpolku” is recommended; in any case, newly built bridge over the Kalimenoja (small river) is recommended. (see coordinates)
The nearest official parking place is situated on the northern side of Huutilampi (see coordinates).
Terrain is mostly quite easy, second star of the classification is given mostly regarding occasional dampness / slipperiness, so the waterproof shoes are recommended.
If you could not occasionally hear distant noise of the highway traffic, you could almost imagine being in the real wilderness – but this cache is still located in the city of Oulu:)
The possibility of making a campfire is offered by the city of Oulu in the vicinity of this cache.
The cache box can accommodate a few smaller traveller bugs or Geocoins.
