Located at the catchment lake for the Morrinsville Water treatment plant.

The boil up out in the lake is caused by compressed air being injected into the lake to oxidise the iron and manganese in the water before entering the treatment plant.

Came over the hill from Cambridge on the backroads which was fun. The the info on the "boiling water" was helpful; not sure I am that keen to drink the water when next in Morrinvile though.
Many thanks for the excursion off the beaten track.

Great cache. Decided to go for a drive with the little one, got there and found it, the trip back up the hill with the stroller was a bit of a hike but we got there. Left a little hand charm. Took nothing. TFTC
