Mt. Sangane is one of my favorite mountains. This mountain is introduced in the guide book called “130 mountains in Aichi Prefecture”. Mt. Sangane is a low mountain and the highest peak is about 350 meters above sea level in Kota-Town, Hazu-Town and Gamagori City. There are "Sangane Kannon temple”, "Philippines Kannon temple” and so on near the top of mountain. The number of hydrangeas planted along Mt. Sangane skyline adds up to about 70,000. Their blossom announces the arrival of summer. Sangane Summit Station was connected to Katahara hot spring Station with Mt. Sangane Ropeway in Gamagori City. It was constructed in 1957 and closed in 1976. Sangane Summit Station is only a big concrete block now. There are some climbing trails where the stepping mark is not clear in this mountain. This cache is hidden near Sangane Summit Station site. Shoes and gloves are necessary. Please enjoy going on a hike.
