Deze cache is onderdeel van de De Haven van ’t Gooi cache
serie. Deze neemt U mee op een historische toer door het Gooise
dorp Huizen. De serie bestaat uit 6 traditionele en één Mystery
cache. Door het loggen van de 6 traditionele caches verzamel je de
eindcoördinaten van de laatste Mystery eindcache genaamd
“Vissersvriend”, die tevens de thuislocatie is van
travel bug – HAVEN VAN ’T GOOI. Veel plezier tijdens
deze Haven van ‘t Gooi cache serie en publiceer geen
foto’s van de caches aub.
This cache is part of the Haven van ’t Gooi cache serie. This
serie will take you on a historical tour through the village of
Huizen. The serie contains of 6 traditional and one Mystery cache.
You will collect the coordinates of Mystery cache Vissersvriend
(Fisherman’s Friend) by logging all 6 traditionals. End cache
Fisherman’s friend is also the home cache of travel bug
– HAVEN VAN ‘T GOOI. Have fun during this Haven van
‘t Gooi cache serie and don’t publish pictures of the
caches please.
Op de plek van de huidige 'Phohi-flat' stonden de voor hun tijd
zeer krachtige Philips Omroep Holland Indië (Phohi)
ultrakortegolf-zenders. Dit monument op de randweg is een 1:5
replica van deze zenders. Die werden gebruikt om contact te houden
met Nederlands Indie, 12.000 km(!) verderop. De eerste zenders
werden opgeruimd in 1936 en later werd de rest tijdens de eerste
meidagen van 1940 door de genie opgeblazen. In 1947 ging de PHOHI
over in Radio Nederland Wereldomroep en de laatste zender werd
ontmanteld in 1957. Publiceer geen foto’s van deze cache aub!
The Phohi Transmitters On the present location of the Phohi
apartments were the for that period very powerfull shortwave
transmitters from the Philips Omroep Holland Indië (Phohi). This
monument is a 1.5 replica of those transmitters. They were used to
stay in contact with the Dutch Indies (Indonesia) 12.000 km(!) to
the east. The first transmitters were removed in 1936 and later
during the first days of the second world war in 1940 the army blew
up the rest. In 1947 the Phohi converted to Radio Netherlands and
the last transmitter was removed in 1957. Do not publish pictures
of this cache please!
