Momma D is prone to headaches, usually a result from trying to
solve a puzzlecache.
We've used one of her old medicine bottles to make a hide in a
spot we have always enjoyed. It was originally hid inside a plastic
baggie, so if someone can bring a fresh one for it that would be
great. Much appreciated.
Parking is available, although in the winter it may not be
plowed out.
To your west you have a great view of the Harriman and West
Airport, and there is a spot near the fence where one can sit and
enjoy watching the planes take off and land. View the gallery to
see images from previous cachers.
Do not climb any fences or go onto the airport land, as this is
for authorized personnel only (and you won't find the cache that
way anyhow)
For most experienced geocachers this should be an easy find.
Please replace cache exactly how you find it so it doesn't get
muggled.
Don't be worried about this spot, this cache has been placed
with permission by the airport. As long as we stay on this side of
the fence we have their approval.
The bigger concern is the dogs in the property next door, for
they will bark up a storm at you. The people in the house are aware
of the cache and are very friendly, but they do not want anyone to
feed the dogs. I suggest a whistle.
Anyway, the cache had to been redone since Ground Zero was
changed/greatly improved. This area is even nicer now and the cache
is a better find now. Please rehide how you found it.
For those cachers who have found this in the past, you are all
welcome to come back and claim a new find since this cache is
changed. Happy caching!
THIS CACHE SURVIVED HURRICANE IRENE!!!
