Geocache Description:

The cache is in a mountainous area on the southwestern edge of Tokyo. This is a short hike from the beginning of the trail head with a slight elevation gain.

About 50 kilometers southwest of central Tokyo, "Gaijin Benchmark" lies in a lush forested national park with numerous hiking trails.

The cache is an ammo box containing the following:

  • 3 handblown glass chevron beads
  • New Master padlock (with combination)
  • Magic blinking superball (bounce it -- it lights up!)
  • Orange light stick
  • Bicycle tube patch kit
  • Royal Hawaiian Kona coffee flavored cigar

This mountain getaway has a cable car and a chair lift that provide great views of surrounding mountains and the Kanto Plain.
