Geocache Description:

Since this is my 100th cache I decided to solicit advice on what type of cache to place. Although I had a lot of ideas of what to do, most of which I will do at some point in time, I took the advice of a fellow geocacher and decided for my 100th cache to place one that I would like to find. This cache is similar to a couple other caches of mine. Go to the posted coordinates and take a good look around. Enjoy.

Woburn Center Memorials:
The posted coordinates are for Woburn center where you will find monuments and statues dedicated to all but one of the American wars/conflicts. Take a good look around while you are there and see if you can determine which one is not represented.

To Find The Cache:
You will need to go to Woburn center and look at the various monuments dedicated to the different wars and gather some information. In addition you will need to find a plaque in front of the First Congregational Church and a statue in front of the Woburn library. Both of these buildings can be easily seen from Woburn Center and are just a short walk away.

The final is located not far away at N 42° AB.CDE W 071° ZY.XWV. The last five digits of the north and west coordinates can be found by answering the following questions:

A=_____ Find the ventilation shaft from the U.S.S. Maine. It was donated on March 23, 191A.
B=_____ On the WWI monument the last name one of the servicemen listed on the monument is Quinno. B equals the number of letters in his first name.
C=_____ On the Civil War monument there are three sides listing those who Died of Wounds, in Rebel Prisons, of Disease or were Killed in Battle. C equals the number of those who held a rank of Sergeant or higher.
D=__8__ On the WWII monument find the surname listed the most and count how many people are listed with that surname. Take that total and divide by the number of times the surname Bavuso is listed. Round to a whole number to get D.
The WWII memorial is being reconstructed. D=8
E=_____ Find the statue in front of the library. A plaque on the side of that statues states the person depicted by the statue died August 2E, 1814.

V=_____ The newest monument is dedicated to those who have served in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan. V equals the number of swords etched on the monument.
W=_____ In front of the statue commemorating those who served in the War with Spain, Philippine Insurrection and the China Relief Expedition there is a plaque listing those who died including Priv. Charles H. Molloy who died on July W, 1898 at San Juan Hill, Cuba.
X=_____ On the Korean War monument the is a list of servicemen who “Died In Service”. X equals the number of servicemen listed.
Y=_____ The Vietnam War memorial was erected by the WHS class of 196Y or 197Y.
Z=_____ In front of the First Congregational Church find the information about the erecting of the 6th meeting house. It was erected in 186Z.

The Final:
Once you find all the numbers for north and west you can go off and look for the final which is located just a short drive away. The best parking is not necessarily the closest. The final is in a very accessible conservation area is frequented by teen muggles. Two previous caches in the area have gone missing. This cache is well hidden in a less accessible section. Please take care in retrieving and returning the cache to its hiding place.

Words of Advice:
At no point in seeking the necessary information will it be necessary to do anything but look at the monuments. All the information is viewable without moving or touching anything. Also, close to the center and to the final there are several benchmarks and waymarks you can find. Have fun.

Good luck and good caching,
Loch Cache

Congrats to Bigrock 95 and OleSeeker on the successful FTF run
