Geocache Description:

The cache you are looking for is a good size (9.5 x 9.5 x 4 inches) plastic container. Be aware of the muggles that are around. Fawn Lake has lots of trails and this is also close to the Narrow Gage Rail Trail.

Fawn Lake is a very scenic area with lots of trails, rolling terrain, a lake, ponds and low swampy areas. There is lots of wildlife. One side of the conservation area is bordered by the The Narrow Gage Rail Trail.

I hope this cache is as popular and enduring as the original "Fawn Lake" cache GC8E5. Be sure to find this cache while you are in the area.

You can get to the cache from the bike trail, VA Parking lot off Springs Road and from trails found in Fawn Lake. Stay on the trails till you get close to the cache site.

Be sure to re-hide the cache.

I put some swag in the cache, but there is room for more.

The original "Fawn Lake" GC8E5 cache was my first DNF and my second find. The GPS that I was using at the time of the DNF was very old and inaccurate. It was also cold and messy. When I received my Garmin GPSMAP60csx and pointed it at the cache ... well ... the story was a lot different.

04/18/2014: I added the Cross Country Skis and Snowshoes Attributes to the cache listing. They are not required but with snow on the ground this is a wonderful area for these activities.
