This is part of my Vermont Fish Series. During trout season I spend
more time trying to catch Brown Trout more than any of the others.
To me, it's mystical fish, the same as a buck is for a hunter. The
largest Brown Trout I ever caught was about 5 lbs and was 26 1/2"
long. I caught that from the Dog River in Riverton, Vt. The Vt.
State record is 22.15625 lbs. It was caught from Sherman Pond on
8-10-1990.
