Geocache Description:

A beautiful and peaceful spot just 30 minutes drive from Napier. The mangaone is a gentle stream at this location just a few meters from it’s confluence with the more feisty tutaekuri river. If you stay a while then so much more is to be found. But remember to keep this special little area a secret between us.

Before you go, all you need to do is solve the puzzle below. It is not meant to be a simple one and the hint is a puzzle too. All the best as the final hide is perhaps not the easiest either!

Mangaone ~ The Dream Stream

Coordinates given should lead to a single lane bridge some 10Km along Dartmoor Road over the Mangaone stream. Access is gained either 200m before the bridge or by taking a hard left immediately after the bridge. At either entrance you'll find short tracks which unless very wet are suitable for two wheel drive vehicles. The tracks lead to a number of picnic/BBQ sites as well as little beach like fronts to the river. You can usually ‘claim’ one of these to yourself even in the busiest days of summer

The mangaone provides a very safe place for young children to paddle or swim, but be aware that this soon flows in to the swifter flowing Tutaekuri river not too far away. You can catch eels along the bank as they inhabit the bright red submerged roots of the willow trees. You may also see the odd trout or even fresh water crayfish (yabbie or crawlie) as you explore the river. If you visit in the middle of summer you can obtain a bountiful supply of wild plumbs, a good spot to find these is just before but downstream of the bridge. And of course, there are the sounds of nature, the native birdlife, the flowing river. If you find a nice spot, close your eyes and you may well soon nod off. I'm sure you'll have a pleasant dream.

Like with mother nature, everything has a reason, look carefully and think word games :)
