Am 26. Dezember 1999 fegte der Sturm „Lothar“ über unser Land und zerstörte viele Wälder. Dieses Waldstück, ein wunderschöner Buchenhain der auch über 200-jährige Bäume beheimatete, wurde besonders betroffen. Ein Jahr später, nachdem man sich wieder gefasst hatte, wurde ein Aufforstungsplan aufgestellt. Zehn Jahre nach Lothar erfreut dieser neue Wald mit jungen Buchen, Eichen, Tannen, wilden Kirschen, Obstbäumen etc jeden Tag seine Besucher. Sie können beobachten wie er sich entwickelt, wieder Form annimmt und vor allem seine eigene Identität wieder erhält.

Le 26 décembre 1999 la têmpete „Lothar“ balaya nos contrées et détruitsit de nombreuses forêts. Cette forêt a été particulièrement touchée, une somptueuse hêtraie, dont certains arbres avaient plus de 200 ans. Un an plus tard, après avoir repris ses esprits devant un tel dommage, un plan de gestion et de reboisement a été établi. Aujourd’hui 10 après, jour pour jour, cette nouvelle forêt de hêtres, chênes, pins, cerisiers sauvages, pommiers etc. réjouit tous les jours les promeneurs qui peuvent la voir se développer et surtout s’approprier sa propre identité.

On December 26th 1999 the storm „Lothar“ hit Switzerland and destroyed many forests. This piece of forest, formerly a wonderful copse of beeches with trees aging over 200 years was hardly affected. The reforestation started one year after Lothar. You will now find many young beech trees, oaks, fir trees, wild cherry and fruit trees growing. The forest is recovering and gaining a new identity.
