Geocache Description:

Kira residence mark (Honjyo matsuzakacho park)

The residence of Kira kouzukenosuke famous for Chushingura was here. It is exactly a site to which the raid was carried out by associate with built-in Oishi Ako faithful retainers.

There are no play equipment etc. with the park unlike the kind in the children's park that in general, is though it says. Because the tree of the god of harvest, the well, and cherry blossoms etc. are limited, it is not a park, and it is near the memorial plaza in about one house.
It is likely to be able to look for the area because the region in the vicinity of the park is a Kira mansion at that time of the Genroku era, and the area is predicted to about 76 times park now this (8400 square meters).
Interested members of the community' buying land in the corner in 1934, and having been opened as a park are the starts though the shogunate of the raid by the faithful retainer becomes a seizure, lines with the house etc. in the residence now afterwards, and there was no one to recall the Kira mansion of old times at all.

When the faithful retainer festival of a regional sponsoring (December 14) is held, there are a lot of branch shops etc. , and a lot of tourists show the bustle though it is usually deserted because it is in the average of the residential area. Not only the vicinity but also the person who gathers from the whole country by the tourist, and dressed faithful retainer's style on the inside can be seen.

吉良邸跡（本所松坂町公園）

ここは忠臣蔵で有名な吉良上野介義央の邸宅があったところです。大石内蔵助ら赤穂義士らによって討ち入りを決行された、まさに現場です。

公園とはいうが一般にある児童公園の類と違い、遊具などはありません。家一軒程度に稲荷や井戸、桜の木などがある程度なので、公園ではなく、むしろ記念広場に近いです。
元禄の当時は公園付近の一帯が吉良邸であり、その広さは現在の同公園の約76倍（8400平方メートル）と推算されているから、その広さをうかがうことができるでしょう。
邸宅は、義士による討ち入りの後は幕府に没収となり、その後住宅などが立ち並び、往時の吉良邸を偲ばせるものはなにもありませんでしたが、1934年に地元の有志らが一角の土地を購入し、公園として開かれたのが始まりです。

普段は住宅街のなかにあるので閑散としていますが、地域主催の義士祭（12月14日）が行われる際は、多数の出店などがあり、多くの観光客で賑わいを見せる。近隣だけではなく全国から観光客が集まり、中には義士のスタイルを装った人までも見ることができます。
