radionut50: Have been pondering the future of this cache for a while.

On the eve of a weekend in Welly, I have decided it has done its dash, so will not be replacing it again.

The cache was commemorating the Open Source conference, and that has happened. It was a pleasure to hide a non-micro cache in this urban area, but to recognise such a hide would always be high maintenance.

So - time to let it go, and look forward to others taking up the challenge of hiding real boxes in the inner city.

Geocache Description:

Wellington is home of the little blue penguin or Korora, What better place to bring the world's biggest gathering of Linux enthusiasts?

The cache you are hunting celebrates the home of our penguin, and a special gathering of world enthusiasts in open source software, at the LCA2010, held from Monday 18 January to Saturday 23 January 2010.

Conference participants were invited to have a taste of our hobby through this cache, Wellingtonians are invited to experience the open source mascot, Tux the penguin by finding this themed cache.

You are looking for a 1litre sistima box, and are invited to maintain the theme by adding or swapping an appropriate contribution contribution.

THE ORIGINAL HIDE WAS MUGGLED ON 17th JANUARY, ALONG WITH A GOOD RANGE OF PENGUIN AND COMPUTER SWAPS. PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO PUT THE BOX BACK AGAINST THE CONCRETE EDGE, AND COVER WITH THE PLANT MATTER.
This is a very public spot - feel free to crack the hint and reduce your hunting activity in front of muggles.
