New cache is a small cylinder approximately 2 inches in diameter and 7 inches long – room for small trade items – DO NOT attempt to force geocoins into it; they will get stuck and shut down the cache. NOT wheelchair accessible. NOT within the habitat restoration area. Park hours 5 am to 10 pm.
There is a reported letterbox nearby. Do not sign the letterbox -- your log here WILL BE DELETED!
Adjacent to the Bay Trail.
Part of the Eastshore State Park, the meadow between I-80 and the Berkeley Marina is an ongoing restoration project that will restore native vegetation while providing new raptor habitat for western burrowing owls, northern harriers, and white-tailed kites.
Like the original cache, this replacement is not in the habitat restoration area and will not require going over, under, or through any fences. Should be much easier to find than the old hide for new cachers.
Be sure to replace the cache as you found it. Watch for muggles. You might not see them when you’re at GZ but they can see you.
