Geocache Description:

According to the Washington coast forest fire lookout web page, Packsack Mountain lookout (elev 1423 ft) was originally established about 1930. A 110 ft steel tower was erected in 1935 and replaced with a shorter wooden tower in 1950... It was abandoned about 1967.

There are several ways to get to this site but I can only vouch for the route I took... On US 101 between Raymond and Aberdeen, turn at Artic onto the road to Brooklyn, drive about 16 miles to the coords posted below and turn onto Fall River road. Now follow your GPS to the site, about 5 miles. When you come to any intersections remember the whole idea of lookout towers is elevation.

A large tree blocks the road near the top, but its a short easy walk from there.

I would not advise trying this at night for two reasons:
There are some steep drop-offs near ground zero...
And you'll miss a great view.
