Geocache Description:

Kawamura Zuiken was a historical civil engineer who constructed the Ajigawa River to bypass winding old Yodogawa River 400 years ago.

Probably, many of you can not believe that the Ajigawa River was man-made. Yes it was constructed by Kawamura Zuiken being ordered by then government Edo Bakufu.
The Ajigawa River made it possible to drain the old Yodogawa River right straight down to Osaka Bay. Since then, flooding problems in this Kawaguchi area has been improved greatly.

A huge stone monument of Kawamura Zuiken is standing right up quietly here. A cache is placed at a place accessible from the road running by the monument
