A drive by micro on Meola.

This drive by cache is located by the entrance of Sir keith Memorial park, the home of MOTAT 2 (Museum of Transport and Technology) . This is the home for one of the most impressive exhibits of aircraft in Australasia, the MOTAT Meola Road Site displays the aircraft which have taken New Zealanders over land, ocean and into battle.
The Aviation Collection includes aircraft from New Zealand's Civil Aviation and top Dressing history. Two of the most notable aircraft in the collection are the only Solent Mark IV Flying Boat in the world and one of only a handful of WW2 Avro Lancaster Bombers in the world.

On the third Sunday of the month there are guided tours for those who would like to discover more about these magnificent planes and the stories behind them.

From this cache (on weekends) it is posible to see planes trains and automobiles all at one time.

The cache is a 35mm film canister close to GL with added removal tool. Please ensure it is replaced back as you found it.

Please watch the young ones as a road is nearby.
