An angegebenen Koordinaten steht Ihr vor dem Bahnhof S+U Pankow. Geht hinein und Ihr seht schnell das Kunstwerk "Bellevue" von R.J. Kaltenbach. Dargestellt sind drei Findlinge auf Stelen, die im Dreieck angeordnet sind. Die Findlinge sind einzelne große Steine, die aus nördlichen Gegenden durch Gletscher nach Berlin transportiert wurden. Viele Jahre lagen sie im sandigen Berliner Untergrund, bis sie bei Bohrarbeiten für die Verlängerung der U2, von U Vinetastr. bis eben zum Bahnhof S+U Pankow, gefunden wurden. Weil es nicht üblich ist derartige Findlinge in Berlin zu entdecken, hat die BVG als Bauherr RJ Kaltenbach beauftragt, das dargestellte Kunstwerk zu kreieren.
Zwei Findlinge bestehen aus hellerem Granit und der dritte aus Diorit. Granit ist ein magmatisches, grob körniges Tiefengestein, welches reich an Quarz und Felsspalten ist. Die Farbgebung wird durch dunkel gespränkelte Minerale wie Glimmer bestimmt. Diorit ist ein graues bis dunkelgraues Tiefengestein, welches aus kristall-körnigen Gemengen von Feldspat, Amphibol, Pyroxen und weiteren Beimengungen besteht.
Nun zur Aufgabe:
Seht Euch die Steine genauer an:
- Beschreibt die Position des Diorits
- Beschreibt die farblichen Unterschiede.
- Schaut Euch die Oberfläche an und beschreibt die Körner der einzelen Blöcke
- Mailt Eure Antwort und Euren alias (!) dann loggt einfach

When you arrived at the coordinates, you are in front of the station S+U Pankow. Go in and you will see the artwork "Bellevue" by R.J. Kaltenbach. You can see three erratic blocks placed on steales and positioned in a triangle. The erratic blocks are lonely large rocks, which are driven by glacier from nordic areas to Berlin. Many years they were in hidden in the sandy underground of Berlin, until they where found while drilling holes for the lengthening of the subway U2 from station Vinetastr. to S+U Pankow. It is not usual to find erratic blocks in Berlin, according to that fact the BVG orderd the shown artwork by R.J. Kaltenbach.
Two of them consist of granite and the third one of diorite. Granite is classified as a magmatic, coarse grained plutonic rock abundant with quartz and feldspar. The coloure is determinded by dark minerals such as mica. Diorite is a grey to dark grey intermediate intrusive igneous rock, consisting of feldspar, amphibole, pyroxene and further impurities. By order of the BVG (public traffic company of Berlin) RJ Kaltenbach designed the rocks to artwork.
