Many thanks to the woodland trust for giving permission to put this cache on their land.
This woodland was a former gravel quarry which was subsequently reclaimed by landfill and is surrounded by farmland. In some areas tipped material lies close to the surface, which can be uneven.
Planting of native oak,ash, field maple,alder and cherry took place between 1985 and 1987. An ancient field boundary with associated mature trees form the north eastern boundary whilst remaining boundaries have wire fencing and hedges. Parking for one car is available at the entrance,but please try not to block access.
You are looking for a small clip lid box suitable for small swaps.
This could be a quick cache and dash but this is a lovely woodland and well worth the walk.
