This cache is a spin-off of "Scientist: A Spawner Cache" originally placed by Photino.

I chose Madame Marie Curie because she was a woman. She was a pioneer in science and a strong woman at a time when women were expected to be "seen and not heard".

Marie Curie is best known as the discoverer of the radioactive elements polonium and radium and as the first person to win two Nobel prizes. For scientists and the public, her radium was a key to a basic change in our understanding of matter and energy. Her work not only influenced the development of fundamental science but also ushered in a new era in medical research and treatment.

About the cache: (!) BE CAREFUL(!) when approaching ground zero, it's not a place for little cachers to play. If there is ice or snow GZ will be very treacherous. When you first enter the woods if you see a "posted" sign, stay north (right) of the sign and you'll be fine. I only saw the one sign and I steered clear of that area. I encourage you to read the hint.
