Geocache Description:

At last the Surrey Mid-Week Event leaves the Dorking/Reigate area and comes to Funtastic Farnham.

An opportunity to meet and greet other cachers from the local area, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire and perhaps further afield over a glass beer and some good pub grub.

On Wednesday 7th April 2010 from 6:00pm onwards.

At The Shepherd and Flock Public House
Moor Park Lane,
Shepherd and Flock Roundabout,
Farnham, Surrey, GU9 9JB

The Pub is a familiar landmark as it is in the middle of a very busy roundabout on the A31/A325. Take care as you arrive - you have to get into the lane nearest the roundabout and then turn into a short slip road which guides you onto the wrong side of the road - fortunately it is a only a narrow lane serving the Pub and a few houses. Take similar care when you leave.

The pub management have been very welcoming, but would obviously like to have some idea of numbers and particularly those who want to eat. A copy of the menu is included in the images below. You don't need to choose your meal, but it would help if you could indicate if you expect to eat in your Will Attend logs.

The Surrey events have been inspired by the success of the Sussex & Hampshire meets and are normally held on the second Thursday of every month. It has been moved to a Wednesday this month, due to unavailability of the Pub on Thursday evening. They are organized by local cachers and can be held anywhere in the county of Surrey.

Caches :

There are plenty of nearby caches, including one within a few yards of the Pub and others nearby in Farnham, Badshot Lea and Aldershot. For those that want to make a day of it, there is the nearby Farnham Ramble Rally Series or the UK Mega Series is less than 10 miles away.

There may also be a number of new caches published on the day and/or made available on the evening of the event.

Geocoins/TBs:

There will be the normal opportunity to swap and discover Travel Bugs and Geocoins.

Books :

Parmstro's book "Cell Out" will be available for the next avid reader.
