Geocache Description:

A short bushwhack from one direction. A longer, more difficult, and much more interesting trek from the other.

An old tupperware container hidden at the ruins of an old homestead in the Quabbin. I was exploring off trail and came across this collection of stone walls and a cellar hole. I could not resist placing a cache. I had no trinkets with me, so there is only some notebook paper for a log to begin with. You will have to bring a pen till I get back out there. A little ways to the lower side of the cache you will find a ravine. On the other side of that are an interesting pair of very large boulders. From there you can access a trail. Along my walk I met with a Tom turkey. He was not too bothered by me. A ways more and I scared up a pair of Mallards. I had not seen them till they took off right beside me. I always seem to find or see something interesting in the Quabbin. As always in the Quabbin, the cache is NOT in any stone structure. Another FTF for out12. Was there ever any doubt?

If you are not a "go anywhere for a cache" cacher, read the log of 6/04/14
