Cache in a 12 x 24 x 6 cm box with pencil and various goodies. Be careful to avoid stepping in holes in the ground. Look up not down.
Please make sure you close it properly to keep the contents dry. Thanks.
Located towards the east end of Bennachie, a range of hills popular with walkers. Most of the Bennachie range is owned by the Forestry Commission, who maintain a network of paths on and around the hills, several car parks and a visitor centre which is located at the eastern foot of the range.
There are several marked paths, including fairly easy ascents towards Mither Tap that starts from the Rowan Tree car park. A more direct but slightly steeper route starts from the Bennachie visitor centre.
The cache located in the rock face of a small outcrop 100 m north of Mither Tap. Short people might struggle to see the stash location!
