The cache is located in the Bükk National Park and have the permission for caching only between July and January. This means the cache’s not available, moreover any kind of geocaching activity is forbidden between February and June.
The Gerenna Castle is a lookout which has one of the most scenic views in the Bükk Mountains. There’s a view to several peaks above 900 metres eg. the Bélko and Istállósko. The recommended starting point is the parking area in the valley of the stream Szalajka (N 48º 05,354’ E 20º 26,035’). At the nearby snack bar you can have a fine dish of trout, 1 kg is sold for 4000 forints. Follow the tourist path marked with yellow until you reach the parking area by the castle. You’ve to pay if you want to drive up to this parking area.
