Located in Stonelick Lake Park. Terrain is level, yet can be muddy at times due to people bike riding on trail. Should be a relatively easy find.
My son found this lizard while camping and suggested we place our own cache since we were out searching that day. This is our first cache placement so we kept it simple. Located at Stonelick Lake. Can park at the main lot before campgrounds or at the bathrooms. Try to be quick so location is not compromised! Please practice CITO- promised Park Ranger we would do this as Geochachers are responsible people.
Original contents in an amber cylinder with white lid (1&1/2x4 in): Rubber lizard, green ball, silver penny, UV beads (really cool), log- BRING YOUR OWN PEN!!
Log is short- please note if getting full and I will get a log book out there.
Extra interesting info:
Another interesting feature of the Stonelick landscape is the significant stand of sweet gum trees. Normally, sweet gum is a subordinate tree but co-dominates the woodlands of Stonelick with beech and maple. Substantial colonies of dense flying star, purple fringeless orchid and Virginia mountain mint--all uncommon wildflowers in Ohio--can be found in the park.
***Updated 9/14/11*** PLEASE PLACE THE GEOCACHE BACK EXACTLY WHERE YOU RETRIEVED IT!!!!! THANKS!!
