Mietoistenlahti on yksi maamme tunnetuimmista lintupaikoista. Suistolla onkin erityisesti keväisin melkoinen vilske kun soitimella olevien lisäksi paikalla levähtää paljon muuttomatkalla olevia. Lahti onkin suojeltu Natura 2000 -verkostossa. Kesäisin ruovikon reunalta voi myös bongata laiduntamassa olevaa karjaa.
Huom, purkki ei ole suojelualueella!
Kätköltä kannattaakin jatkaa torneille asti ja kiivetä kurkistamaan millainen kuhina lahdella käy. Hyvällä tuurilla voit bongata vaikka merikotkan tai pikkujoutsenen.

Mietoistenlahti is one of the most famous birding areas in Finland. Laajoki river delta is filled with birds, especially when the migration is on its peak. The area is protected in Natura 2000 -program. On summertime, there's livestock grazing the delta shores.
We recommend checking the birding towers after finding the cache, take a peak at the bay and check the bird situation. Who knows, you might even see white-tailed eagle or bewick's swan.
Note, the cache is not in the nature sanctuary!
Please, do not log with a stamp, it smudges the log book.
