An old, abandonded highway along a small brook that offers up a glimpse of a world after man.
This cache is located on an old abandoned highway (not the old rail bed). I'd hiked along here when I was younger and always felt like this is what the world would be like shortly after a nuclear war or some other disaster that wiped mankind off the planet. It's a nice area along a small brook, and other than a couple of unfortunate exceptions, is relatively free of trash.
The road itself is still in fairly good condition and is easily passable with an SUV, although larger vehicles may want to take care as there are some fairly low hanging trees and limited areas to turn around in. Drivers of regular cars may want to park out at the entrance and hike in.
I bumped the difficulty of this cache up a little higher than one of this type would normally be only because of spotty gps coverage. If you have your geosense on, this cache should really pose no challenge at all. The hint is pretty much a dead giveaway if you need it.
The container is a small lock & lock. It has a couple of small items inside of it as well as a logbook and pen.
There is a FTF prize of a small LED flashlight.
