Ein einsamer Traditional am Fuße des Kleinen Magners mit
wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Reichenspitzgruppe.
A very lonely traditional under the Kleinen Magner with a
wonderful view to the Reichenspitz group.
Allgemeines / General facts
Der Bau der Staumauer begann im Jahr 1980 und wurde im Jahre 1987
fertig gestellt. Sie ist die letzte Ausbaustufe der
Zemm-Ziller-Kraftwerke. Das Wasser des Stausees wird zum Kraftwerk
Häusling geleitet. Von dort fließt es weiter zum Speicher Stillup.
Dieser speist wiederum das Kraftwerk Mayrhofen. Danach fließt das
Wasser in den Ziller.
Zum Schutz der Staumauer wurden auf den Hängen oberhalb viele
Lawinengalerien errichtet.
The dam was built in the years between 1980 and 1987. It is the
final stage of expansion of the Zemm-Ziller-power plants.The water
of that lake goes to the Häusling power plant and from there to the
Stillup dam. From there it goes to the Mayrhofen power plant and to
the Ziller.
To protect the dam a lot of avalanche galleries were built on the
slopes above the dam.
Der Cache / The Cache
Der Cache befindet sich oberhalb der Staumauer, an der Abzweigung
des Weges, der um den Stausee herumführt. Um dort hin zu gelangen
gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten.
The cache is above the dam where the path which leads around the
lake starts. To reach the cache there are two possible
variants.
1. Möglichkeit / Variant 1
Vom Parkplatz aus (P1) führt der mit Staumauer - Adlerblick
markierte Weg bis zur Krone der Staumauer (WP1). Alternativ lässt
sich die Mauerkrone auch mit dem Bus erreichen.
From the parking area (P1) leads a path, marked with Staumauer -
Adlerblick, to the top of the dam (WP1). You also can take the bus
to the top of the dam.
Auf der anderen Seite der Staumauer führt ein kleiner Steig steil
bergauf (Vorsicht bei Nässe!) bis zur alten Baustellenstraße für
die Lawinengalerien. Dieser folgt man dann bis zum Cache. After
you have crossed the dam you take a small path which leads steeply
uphill (Be careful if it's wet!) to the old street. This street
leads you directly to the cache.
2. Möglichkeit / Variant 2
Wenn man das erste mal die Straße kreuzt, folgt man ihr bis zum Fuß
der Staumauer. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Bachseite lässt sich nun
schon die alte Straße erkennen (WP2) , die direkt zum Cache
führt.
When you cross the street the first time, follow that street to
the foot of the dam. On the opposite site of the river (WP2) you
already see the old street which leads to the
cache.

When you reach a yellow arrow, you are at your goal! Take a look
at the spoiler pictures to make your search easier.

Achtung: Dieser Cache ist nur im Sommer
(von Anfang Juni bis Ende September) erreichbar. Außerhalb dieses
Zeitraums ist mit Schneelage zu rechnen, wodurch der Cache
unerreichbar wird!
Attention: This cache is reachable
only in summer (from June to September). At other times of the year
it might be snowy which makes the cache
inaccessible!
