A quick and easy park and grab at Tamarack Park. There is plenty of room for parking.
Tamarac Park was once the location of the Tamarack restaurant during the 1940's. It sits across the road from Assawompset Pond, Massachusetts largest natural body of water. It now serves for conservation and passive recreation.
It isn't a particularly attractive park yet but it's being worked on and has great potential. There are picnic tables at the front where you can observe various species of waterfowl and if you're lucky, a few Bald Eagles!
If you are a canoe or a kayaker there is a launch area at the rear where you can enter the marsh area.
It's in the neighborhood so Tjames and I have adopted this cache from Ferreirc. Unfortunately, it isn't "winter friendly."
The cache is a camo colored waterproof matchstick container containing only a log. BYOP. Happy Caching!
