Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of caches that we are putting out on the Baccalieu Trail. Our goal is to have a cache in every community on the Baccalieu Trail. This series of caches will not require a lot of time to find as most of them will be park and go caches.

New Perlican is a small community in Trinity Bay that is part of the Baccalieu Trail. New Perlican was first mentioned in the early 1600's. It was attacked in 1697 by Pierre Le Moyne D'Lberville. It has many dig sites and artifacts are displayed at the Fred Grant Memorial building.

This cache is located near the ST. Matthews United Church cemetary.

This cache is a small lock and lock container that at time of placement had a logbook, pen first to find prize and small trade items.
