This is a part of a group of caches with a numerical theme in honor of a big birthday that Zelonewolf is having this week. Using the Rhode Island Cemeteries Database, I set out to find historical cemetery #30 in as many RI cities and towns as possible using the meager descriptions of the locations of the cemeteries on the site. Some were easy to find, some were not. Some I still can't find despite my best efforts.
According to the database, East Greenwich Historical Cemetery #30 has 14 burials with 8 inscriptions. It is not enclosed, nor does it have a sign. Blink and you will miss it. For this one I really needed the location description from the database: "50 ft east of SO COUNTY TRAIL at TEL pole # 111". I just managed to spy the gravestones in the thick brush. Despite the lack of care, one of the gravestones was adorned with an American flag.
East of telephone pole #111 equals Meadowbrook Rd. There is a small pulloff to the left immediately upon turning onto the road. It is a residential street, so be stealthy.
Cache is a small, with a very small pencil inside.
Fair warning: There is a TON of poison ivy in the cemetery. Knee high poison ivy.
