Der kleine Ort Bodelwitz bei Pössneck (Ostthüringen) ist Ausgangspunkt der kurzen Wanderung. Die B 281 ist nur 2,5 km entfernt. Die Koordinaten führen zu einem Miniparkplatz mit 2 Plätzen - dort geht's los.
Falls Du hungrig bist, ist ein seit 1734 in Familienbesitz befindlicher Gasthof um die Ecke, in dem schon Goethe speiste.
Folge dem gelben Punkt nach SÜDEN - am (mitunter zugewachsenen) Wegweiser rechts - und dann immer bergaufwärts und vorbei an einem "Fake"- Wegweiser ("Seebach - 3 km"). Unterwegs kannst du dich zur Erntezeit laben - eine Streuobstwiese liegt am Weg.
Kurz darauf folgt eine fast verwitterte Info zum Bodelwitzer Konglomerat (ein Abstecher dorthin verlängert den Trip vielleicht um 15 min).
Bei 50°40.807 011°37.245 ist eine überdachte Rastmöglichkeit mit Aussicht u.a. zu einem merkwürdig geformten Berg, der Altenburg (Zechsteinriff). Nimm dir Zeit und genieße die Aussicht. Inzwischen bist Du auf dem Weg mit grünem Punkt. Weiter geht's - unterwegs erfährst du einiges über das Ökosystem Wald. Ca. 20 Doppelschritte nach "Tafel 9" verlässt du den Weg mit dem grünen Punkt und läufst geradeaus weiter. Der Wald endet und es folgt eine Einmündung nach links auf eine Wiese. Nimm die Einmündung und gehe ziemlich genau östlich auf den Wald zu. Es gibt dort eine Öffnung am Waldrand mit zwei hineinführenden Wegen. Nimm den rechten Pfad (bergauf). Nach kurzer Zeit kommst Du auf einen breiteren Weg und der grüne Punkt ist wieder da. Folge dem breiten Weg nach links. Zweifle nicht, wenn es zwischendurch mal unwegsam wird. Auf den Tafeln erfährst Du auch etwas über Hornissen und Wespen.
Wenn du weißt, mit welchem Buchstaben die Zeile 13 im Text "Wespen - Echte Wespen: (Vespoidea)" beginnt, kann nichts mehr schief gehen.

Viel Spaß beim Finden. Du bleibst stets auf dem Weg. Der Cache ist keine 5 m neben dem Weg, du musst nicht klettern!
Wenn du ihn gefunden hast, musst du nicht umkehren. Folge weiter dem grünen Punkt bis 50°40.837 011°37.503 und dort weiter grob Richtung Nord zum Dorf. Deinen Parkplatz findest du sicher selbst wieder. ;-)
Der Cache war eine spontane Idee, die zu Besuch bei Freunden ausgeführt wurde. Zudem ist es mein erster selbst gelegter Cache. Leider wurde das Original durch einen Hangrutsch verschüttet und musste im Mai 2018 erneuert werden.
Im Original- Cache lagen anfangs eine Erstfinderurkunde und 1 Drachen 1 Schaf 1 Sandmann 1 Krake 1 Pokemon
Bei der Wiedergeburt lagen im Cache: 1 Schlüsselband 1 Teddyanhänger 1 Plexiglasfotohalter 1 Radiergummi 1 Puppenschuh

The small village of Bodelwitz near the city Pössneck (in the east of the Free State of Thuringia) is the starting point of the short hike. The road B 281 is just 1.55 miles away. The coordinates lead to a mini parking lot with 2 places - there you start.
If you are hungry, a family-owned inn has been around the corner since 1734, where Goethe was already dining.
Follow the trail- sign “yellow dot” to SOUTH - at the (sometimes overgrown) hiking trail signpost to the right - and then always uphill and passing a "fake"- signpost ("Seebach - 3 km"). On the way you can snack at harvest time - a meadow with fruit- trees is on the way.
Shortly thereafter, an almost weathered info about the Bodelwitz conglomerate follows (a detour there may extend the trip by 15 min).
At 50°40.807 011°37.245 is a covered resting place with a view to a strange looking mountain, the "Altenburg" (a reef of the Upper Permian). Enjoy the view. Meanwhile, you are on the hiking trail with a “green dot”. Continue - on the way you will learn a lot about the forest- ecosystem, if you can read and understand German. Approximately 20 double steps after " Information board 9" you leave the path with the “green dot” and continue straight ahead. The forest ends and a junction to the left leads to a meadow. Take the entrance and approach the forest pretty much exactly east. There is an opening at the edge of the forest with two paths leading in. Take the right path (uphill). After a short time you come to a wider path and the “green dot” is back. Follow the wide path to the left. Don't doubt if things get impassable in between. On the panels you will also learn about hornets and wasps.
If you know with which letter the line 13 in the text "Wespen - Echte Wespen: (Vespoidea)" begins, nothing can go wrong.

Have fun finding the cache. You always stay on the path. The cache is not more than 5 m next to the path, you don't have to climb!
You don't have to repent. Follow the “green point” until 50°40.837 011°37.503 and there continue roughly towards the north (towards the village). You will certainly find your own parking lot. ;-)
The cache was a spontaneous idea that was executed while visiting friends. It's also my first self-placed cache. Unfortunately, the original was buried by a landslide and had to be renewed in May 2018.
