One may wonder who is "Wachusett Greenways". They are an all-volunteer non-profit group, established in 1995, whose mission is to link the communities of the Wachusett region with trails and greenways.
Wachusett Greenways is building the central 30 miles of the Mass Central Rail Trail through Sterling, West Boylston, Holden, Rutland, and Oakham. Only eleven miles of the Mass Central Rail Trail is open now.
One section I discovered is in Rutland and runs from Wachusett St. to Route 68 - only 1.3 miles. The listed coordinates are not where the cache is located. You must complete Wachusett Greenways - Rutland - #1, #2, and #3 to obtain hints to this final cache. You are looking for a small Ammo Box loaded with kid stuff. A FTF prize for the thirsty folk.
Approx. 1 mile from the parking lot on Wachusett St. The total walk or bike ride to and from the parking lot is approx. 2 miles (1 in and 1 out).
