Mackworth Island in Falmouth, Maine
THE WALL. Dad is home accross the ocean leaving just a
memory....what did you leave for me? all in all it was just a brick
in the wall...Pink Floyd Listen to one of the best songs ever! This
cache is located on the peaceful Mackworth Island, home of the
Baxter School for the Deaf (nothing to do with the title as you
will find out). Take the causeway to the island and park in the lot
for hikers (right, follow the hiking path to cache. Please be
careful in the restoration of cache especially in winter, as it is
easy to hurt your hands. Enjoy the quietness and beauty of the
Casco Bay while hiking around the trail (loop). NOTE: Parking at
this location can be a problem on the weekends, so, if the lot is
full, park before the bridge in the neighbourhood and just think of
it as a longer hike to get there. It will still be an enjoyable
walk Please put the cover material just as you found it with the
black side of the box facing out so it is not seen by muggles. Just
a reminder that footprints in the snow will lead others directly to
the cache, which could lead to them being plundered or confiscated.
Please keep this in mind when winter caching. Please be aware that
letterboxing sites also are on the island along with the Fairy
village as it is a beautiful and quiet place if you want to find
