Parts of St Mary's is 12th century Norman. Interestingly, the first priest was known as just 'Gilbert'. The tower is Early English Gothic and is considered the finest in Buckinghamshire.
In 2008, St Mary's through a Millenium project renovated and reordered the interior of the church building. This included a new vestry, a creche, toilets and kitchen. The roof was also repaired.
St Mary's describes itself as 'A church where everyone can make friends and find their places; to discover about God and the Christian faith. Our role in the community supports local and wider communities through parishioners lives, prayer and action in the love of Christ.'
Services are held on Sunday mornings every week.
