This area offers a great view of the Connecticut River Valley - looking out into Vermont and down on the town of Monroe. It is near the "Screen" which you can see on the mountain from Monroe.
*Road from Lyman is a 4x4 Trail and is often blocked by fallen trees, Road from Monroe is a steep mountain road, but in good condition and fine for most vehicles.*
Park where the road meets the Powerline: N44°15.066' W072°00.745'.
Hike from parking coordinates is just under a 1/2 hour at a slow pace.
After a short hike up the first hill of the powerline you will see a woods road off to the left which offers the best access - FOOT TRAFFIC ONLY - there are "No Trespassing" signs due to previous ATV problems, but the landowner welcomes responsible foot traffic. Please help keep this area clean and enjoy the great view it provides. The cache itself has typical items in a green rubbermaid container labeled "GEOCACHE" on the cover. FYI - the "Screen" is a passive microwave reflector installed by the Power Company in late 1960s.
