Salmelankoski on mielestäni yksi Merikarvianjoen kauneimmista paikoista. Sen varrelle on rakennettu kalastajille hieno kota, jossa voi paistaa juuri pyydystetyn kalan. Mereltä pääsee Salmelankoskeen saakka veneellä jokiveden ollessa korkealla.

Salmelankoski rapids is in my opinion one of the most beautiful places of the river Merikarvia. A hut with a fireplace has been built by the rapids to fry freshly caught fish. You can access these rapids with a boat all the way from the sea when the water level in the river is high.
