Philura Falls is on Schoolhouse Brook, just off the White Fern Trail in the Newfane Town Forest.
Use care approaching the cache, due to steep drop-offs and terrain.
The container is a medium-sized four-tab-top style and is out of sight from the trail, but is within sight of Sunset Lake Road.
The parking for the Newfane Town Forest, coordinates below, is in the grassy area beside the driveway to the Newfane Town Highway garage. Walk up the driveway and turn on to the trails beside the yellow mailbox. There may be maps in the mailbox and there is a large map posted fifty feet into the woods.
Continuing on the trails past the cache will give you a two to two-and-a-half mile hike, depending on trails chosen.
The cache may be winter-friendly, sort of. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed.
