Time to get reacquainted with old friends and meet new
ones at Lake Arbutus.
Event will run from 11:30 til ??? Meet and Greet at 11:30, lunch
at 12:30. We will provide punch to drink. I plan on making a trash
can turkey so if you don't want turkey you will have to bring your
own meat. We will bring a gas grill and there are charcoal grills
available but you will need to bring your own charcoal. Please
bring your own plates, silverware and a dish to pass.
The park offers beach area, sand volley ball, a shelter, 2
playgrounds, hiking trails, 4 wheeler trails, fishing, boat landing
and camping. There are presently 40 caches within 10 miles of the
event and we hope to put out a few more. The event is free of
charge but the park does have an entrance fee of $3.00 for a daily
pass (per vehicle) or $25 for an annual pass. Either pass
will get you entrance to all Jackson County Parks. If you
are camping in the park the entrance fee is included with the cost
of the campsite. Camping is available. The rates vary depending on
whether your site is lakeside, non-lakeside, electric or
non-electric. See link above for park information.
Feel free to bring trackables to trade or for discovery!
Whether you just come for the event or if you come for the
weekend there should be plenty to do to keep you busy.
