This free-admittance study path is created by management of Duna-Dráva National Park in 2010.
This 4 km-long study path makes you acquainted with a characteristical part of Zselic hilly country region.

The Duna-Dráva National Park wants to restitute here the original state of Zselic forests step by step by cutting the newcomer tree species out, namely black locust (robinia pseudoacacia) and northern red oak (quercus rubra). This forest is an environment protection area, therefore be so kind, don’t litter and don’t collect plants.
How can you find this path? At the south end of Töröcske (this little village belongs to Kaposvár) you find a place it is suitable for parking: N46°17,915' E17°46,773'. You find also the board of study path here and there are no subsequent boards because the signs are written on the tree-trunks and you have to seek the information in the homepage mentioded above.
The starting and at the same time ending point of the round path is at this point: N46°17,836' E17°46,756'. Here you start to the right (upwards) and you track the signs showing woodpecker.
In case there are problems with accuracy of GPS because of the forest valley, you have to find the 10th station of the path (N46° 17,519' E17° 46,886'), and you can find the box to the WSW 22 m distance from this tree.
Maybe the forest paths and scartroads are sometimes muddy ones. You will beware of ticks.
